The SPPA is delighted to announce that our charity partner for 2021 is
SAMH (Scottish Association for Mental Health)

At the SPPA, we place great value on mental health and we are committed to creating an environment that provides support to our colleagues. A positive and open approach to health will help our colleagues to thrive and fulfil their potential.

SAMH is Scotland’s national mental health charity. In communities all over Scotland, the charity works with adults and young people providing mental health social care support, services in primary care, schools and further education, among others.

Mental health issues are more common than most think. Every week around 6.5 million adults in the UK will experience a common mental health problem, including anxiety and depression.

We look forward to working with SAMH and making a big difference to our Agency and promote positive, mental health awareness.

Head of People, Strategy and Communications, Garry Cossar, said:

I am delighted that SAMH is our charity partner for 2021. Many of us, at various points in our life, experience difficulties and by helping raise awareness, we hope to make a difference for anyone who needs support. Our goal is to not only aim to reduce mental health problems, but also encourage positive mental health throughout the Agency – and this gives us an opportunity to work closely with SAMH to help promote their work and provide further for colleagues.
