Your retirement options

As you begin to reach retirement age, it's worth taking the time to develop an understanding of your retirement options. Once you know what you can do, it's easier to make a plan that suits your needs.

Retirement options include taking your pension benefits from your normal retirement age - which will be either 60 or 65 depending on when you joined the Legal Aid (Scotland) Pension Scheme as well as other options such as voluntary early retirement, ill health retirement and partial retirement.

Your precise options depend on whether you're a member of the pre-October 2010 section or the post-October 2010 section of the Legal Aid (Scotland) Pension Scheme so follow the links and find out more about your retirement options.
