The SPPA is pleased to advise that a retirement calculator for the McCloud/Sargeant and 2015 Remedy is available for use on our website.
Who is affected by McCloud/Sargeant and the 2015 Remedy
If you joined a public sector pension scheme on or before 31 March 2012 and you were still a member on or after 1 April 2015, and had continuous service you will be eligible for the 2015 Remedy. This includes members who left but returned within 5 years to the same or another public service pension scheme.
More information regarding the 2015 Remedy is available on our website.
What does the calculator do?
The calculator can provide you with an illustration of your pension entitlement and shows the impact of the 2015 remedy on your legacy and reformed scheme benefits.
The calculator is for guidance purposes and the outputs provided are illustrative only.
For the best experience, we advise members to use the Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome web browsers when accessing the calculator.
Are the calculators available to all members?
Unfortunately, due to the complexity of the calculations, the NHS calculator does not yet contain functionality for Mental Health Officers or Practitioner members of the NHS pension scheme. NHS members who have entered the scheme via the Choice exercise will also be unable to access the calculator at this time.
We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause members affected and we will provide an update once this functionality becomes available.
