How long do I have to be contributing to the scheme before my contributions qualify as pension?
Your contributions will be calculated as a pension once you have paid into the superannuation scheme continuously for 2 calendar years. This includes any officer service that you had paid superannuation on, prior to being employed as a Practitioner.
If you have less than 2 years calendar service and wish to leave the scheme, then you can apply for a refund. Please see the refund application form and Practitioner opt out form. You can find out more here.
